How To Export Contacts On MacBook.

Contacts are more important at the present time than ever and therefore should be saved at secure host. As if we lost contacts, then it is very irritating. To avoid lost, all contacts should be exported on Mac and store safely. On Mac the export works, although particularly simple, but it's good to know few tricks.

We will tell you, how you can export all contacts, selected contacts or a single contact properly.

1.  Export all contacts on Mac

Step 1 : Open the Contacts app in the Dock or from the Applications folder.

Step 2 : Click on the first contact in your list and then scroll down.

Step 3 : Hold down the Shift key and click the last contact. Now all contacts should be selected. Alternatively, you can press to select and Command + "A".

Step 4 : Select "File" from the top of the screen. You have three options for exporting your data:

"Export as PDF" - You can export contacts as PDF document that you can also print out if required.

"Export" → "Export vCard" - It is a vCard file of all data generated. It is generally accepted standard that is supported by most systems.

"Export" → "Contacts Archive" - it generates one .abbu file of all data that can be opened only on Mac.

Step 5 : Choose from the File menu, select Export option and save the file as you are used to.

2. Export individual contacts on Mac

Step 1 : Open the Contacts app out in the Dock or from the Applications folder.

Step 2 : Right click on a contact.

Step 3 : "Choose from the context menu vCard Export" and save the file as usual.

Tip : Alternatively, you can select a contact and export over the shelves menu. To do this go to "File" at the top of the screen and choose one of the options that we have explained to you in step 4 in the export of all contacts.

3. Export selected contacts on Mac

Step 1 : Open the Contacts app out in the Dock or from the Applications folder.

Step 2 : Hold down the Command key (cmd) key and click on the desired contacts.

Step 3 : Once you have finished selecting contacts, you choose at the top of the "File" from.

Step 4 : Decide now between "Export as PDF" or "Export vCard".
