BlackBerry shares were up nearly 30% after the rumor that Samsung is planning to offer a buyout to BlackBerry but the rumor is since been denied by the both Blackberry and Samsung.
Recently there are multiple buyout offers been rejected by Blackberry. According to Reuters, Samsung has made an offer but it has been rejected by Blackberry. Now it is somewhat clear that the BlackBerry is not being purchased by Samsung today not atleast at $15 per share.
John Chen, CEO of BlackBerry Ltd has confirmed in a statement that BlackBerry is not going to be sold at that share price. He said:He is not selling BlackBerry at this share price or even not answering his phone unless he hears $100 per share.
Mr Chen is very optimistic that BlackBerry will survive. BlackBerry has suffered from bad consumer perception and virtually out of the scene for too long. BBZ10 was the last hope of BlackBerry but it doesn't fulfilled the companies need to grab some market place. BlackBerry's CEO is 99% sure that they will survive. But the thing is that how? May be BlackBerry still have something magical in their pockets to amaze the world.
One thing we must kept in mind that most of BlackBerry user's are loayl and stick to the BB. Mr Chen is hoping for something which we will not know untill a rumored buyout confirmation or rejection.
