Xiaomi Mi Note sells Out in 3 Minutes, Challenging Apple's Stake in China

The rising Chinese technology giant Xiaomi's Mi Note sold out in only three minutes after it went on sale on Tuesday.

There are no exact figures about how much phones have been sold, but Xiaomi's officials said that they have received 220 million reservations for the smartphone.The company is aiming to sell 100 million devices in 2015 - a substantial jump from the 61.1 million sold in 2014.

Before that Xiaomi's CEO, has said that their flagships are better and can compete iPhone 6 and 6Plus in every way. This is indeed a big threat for the Apple in China. Recently Apple has reported more sales in China than in the US this year.

 Apple design boss Jony Ive blamed Xiaomi that it's smartphones designs are "theft". And during the unveiling of Mi Note and Note Pro, Xiaomi CEO even mocked Apple iPhone's design. Xiaomi is also planning to develop its own iOS like platform to attract iPhone users towards its samrtphones.  No one Know when will be the end of this tug of war started between Apple and Xiaomi.

 The Mi Note also boasts impressive specs, packing more RAM, a bigger battery and a more powerful camera into the Mi Note than is in the iPhone 6 - at a significantly cheaper cost. The Mi Note starts at $370, while the iPhone is $749 for the lowest-spec options.
